Information We Collect
She's Clutch may collect information you provide directly, such as your email address and username when you create an account. Your username may also be stored as your Firebase Authentication display name for account identification and verification-related messages. The app also stores the preferences and activity you choose to save, including theme selection, favorite sports, weekly headlines preference, saved stories, and read-story history.
How Account Login Works
Account sign-in and account creation are handled through Firebase Authentication using username, email, and password account setup with email/password login. Passwords are not stored in plaintext by the app. Account profile information related to authentication is transmitted over encrypted connections and managed by Firebase according to its security infrastructure.
Preferences, Saved Stories, and Sync
If you use an account, your preferences and saved-story data may be stored locally on your device and synced to your account in Firebase so they can be restored across sessions or devices. If you use the app in guest mode, a separate local guest profile may be stored on your device.
Analytics
She's Clutch may use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand general app usage, feature engagement, and app performance. Analytics data is used to improve the product experience and is generally collected in aggregated or pseudonymous form rather than to identify you personally.
Your Choices
You may choose whether to create an account. You may also sign out at any time. Because some preferences are stored locally for app functionality, removing the app or clearing app/browser storage may remove locally stored data on that device. This policy may be updated as the app evolves and new account or data features are introduced.
